Brianna Chickenfry has accused her former boyfriend Zach Bryan of emotional abuse during their year-long relationship.
Chickenfry, whose original name is Brianna LaPaglia, alleged on Thursday’s episode of the BFFs Podcast she co-hosts with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards that she faced “narcissistic, emotional abuse” for a year.
“The last year of my life has been the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse from this dude,” the 25-year-old Barstool Sports podcaster said, referring to Bryan.
“I’m still scared right now because I’m scared of him,” she continued. “My brain’s rewired and I’m scared to make him mad and last week, I didn’t want to talk about it ’cause I was scared.”
Chickenfry said Bryan made her believe everything was her fault, adding, “He isolated me from my whole entire life. He wouldn’t let me be who I wanted to be. He made me hate everything that I loved about myself.”
She said things took a turn for the worse after their relationship went smoothly in the first four months.
Zach Bryan announced last month that he and his girlfriend were parting ways.
Bryan started dating Brianna in July 2023, two years after ending his brief marriage with Rose Madden.
