Dallas-based rapper Yella Beezy has been taken into custody and is facing capital murder charges in connection with the shooting death of fellow rapper Mo3 on a busy freeway back in 2020, as per court documents.
Yella Beezy, 33, whose real name is Markies Conway, was charged with capital murder with intent to profit after being indicted by a grand jury in Dallas County on Tuesday (March 18). The indictment claims that Conway employed a man named Kewon White to carry out the murder of Mo3, whose true name was Melvin Noble.
Details about the reasons authorities believe Conway contracted White to shoot Noble, who was also a Dallas resident, were not disclosed in the indictment.

Court documents did not name an attorney representing Conway. Attempts to reach Conway’s representatives via calls and emails were not promptly answered.
Following Conway’s arrest, Noble’s mother, Nichole Williams Noble, posted on Facebook, expressing, “Justice for my baby!!!!”
On November 11, 2020, the 28-year-old Noble was traveling on Interstate 35 in south Dallas when authorities allege that White drove beside him, exited his own vehicle brandishing a firearm. Noble exited his vehicle and attempted to flee south on the freeway as White shot at him, according to police. Both Noble and a passing bystander inside another vehicle were struck by White; the bystander survived, but Noble succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.
White and another individual, 32-year-old Devin Brown, were subsequently indicted in relation to Noble’s death, and their cases are still in process. White, who is 26, received a nearly nine-year federal prison sentence in 2022 after pleading guilty to a charge of firearm possession as a convicted felon in an unrelated case.
Conway gained recognition for his 2017 hit, “That’s On Me,” and the 2019 track “Bacc At It Again”, which featured Quavo and Gucci Mane.
In October 2018, Conway survived a shooting while driving on a toll road in the Dallas suburb of Lewisville when an assailant pulled up alongside him and opened fire, hitting him three times.
Noble had over 800,000 followers on Instagram and was particularly known for his 2019 remix of the song “Errybody,” featuring Baton Rouge rapper Boosie Badazz.
