In case you haven’t noticed, ska has been making a bit of a comeback as of late. The Consequence Podcast Network series In Defense of Ska, hosted by Aaron Carnes and Adam Davis, is devoted to tracking the beloved genre’s rise, fall, and rise again over the last four decades. Now, Carnes is back with a new, expanded edition of the book that started it all: In Defense of Ska: Ska Now More Than Ever Edition.
To celebrate the release, we first launched a list of 20 artists that you didn’t know were in ska bands before they got famous, like blink-182’s Travis Barker, Santigold, Tears for Fears, and… Deftones?! We then shared an exclusive excerpt from the book’s expanded edition detailing the comeback of Christian ska band Five Iron Frenzy. Now, we’re excited to be giving ska fans a chance to take home a copy of In Defense of Ska: Ska Now More Than Ever Edition with a ska-tastic giveaway!
