It’s been a while since WWE fans have seen Roman Reigns inside the squared circle. But that could change soon — and his return might just shake things up in a big way.
Roman Reigns Return Rumors: Money in the Bank the Perfect Stage?
The Tribal Chief hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since his wild WrestleMania 41 showdown against Seth Rollins and CM Punk. The three collided in a Triple Threat Match that headlined Night 1 — and it came with a shocking twist.
Paul Heyman, Reigns’ longtime Wise Man, stood in Punk’s corner as a one-time favor. But instead of staying loyal to either, Heyman betrayed both and helped Rollins steal the win.

The following night on RAW, Reigns and Punk looked to team up and take out Rollins — but they were blindsided by Bron Breakker, who aligned with The Visionary and destroyed them both.
Since then, Reigns has vanished from WWE programming, and the company hasn’t given any official word on when he’ll be back. But rumors now suggest an early June return — and all signs point to Money in the Bank as the perfect time for Roman to step back into the spotlight.
Could Reigns Crash the Ladder Match?
While Reigns has been gone, the Rollins-Punk rivalry has only intensified. Most recently, they squared off in a tag match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where Punk teamed with Sami Zayn against Rollins and Breakker. Punk and Zayn were rolling — until Bronson Reed interfered and joined Rollins’ faction.
Last week, Rollins qualified for the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match by defeating Zayn and Finn Bálor. But his celebration didn’t last long — Punk ambushed him with a surprise GTS on RAW.

Punk is now scheduled to face AJ Styles and El Grande Americano this week in an MITB qualifier. If he wins, he’ll officially join Rollins in the ladder match — setting up yet another heated showdown.
But with both men locked in on each other, it might be the perfect moment for Reigns to strike.
With the WWE Universe distracted by high-risk ladder chaos, don’t be surprised if the Tribal Chief returns to remind everyone: he hasn’t forgotten, and he hasn’t forgiven.
