Jacksonville Jaguars rookie star Travis Hunter can do no wrong. The former Colorado Buffaloes standout recently showed NFL fans that he has a lovable character to match his on-field prowess, taking to the NFL Draft stage in Green Bay, Wis., to dance with the musical performers. Not only did he dance onstage before the main event, but he also waltzed his way back after his name was called.
A video emerged on May 26 that showed the rookie approaching a young fan who was practicing in his yard. The star snuck up on the aspiring athlete, who was immediately thrilled to be face-to-face with one of the NFL’s brightest young talents.
Video of Travis Hunter Surprising Fan Goes Viral
Already a fan favorite in Jacksonville, Fla., Hunter has further endeared himself to fans with the video. The young athlete is seen practicing pass-rush drills with a chair in his yard, as Hunter approaches.
The fan then turns around to see Hunter standing there and is naturally shocked, reacting with, “Oh, snap.”
Quick to seize on the opportunity, he then rushes inside to get his phone for a picture and can be heard shouting, “Mom, Travis Hunter’s outside.”

Hunter then poses for a photo with the fan before the video ends. He recently got married to his partner, Leanna Lenee, and appeared in good spirits as he approached the young player, who himself had a day to remember.
Hunter Working with Jaguars’ Offense During Camp
Question marks surrounded Hunter’s future in the NFL regarding what position would be his primary focus. The expectation remains, given the Jaguars’ aggressive move to acquire him, that he will play on both offense and defense in the league.
Early in training camp, Hunter has been working primarily with the offense, with some questioning the player’s route running. A viral video emerged recently of Hunter stumbling on routes and failing to link up with the team’s quarterbacks. While the clips were cherry-picked for the sake of the video, the footage caused a stir online, with many worried about the prospect’s chances at the top level.

However, Hunter is coming off a campaign that saw him voted the best receiver, the best defensive player, and the best overall player in college football. The 2024 Heisman Trophy winner has also been talked up by Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who recently praised the player’s explosiveness.
Hunter’s lovable character won’t save him if he fails to produce in the NFL, but his talent and playmaking ability make that highly unlikely.
