Here’s the Tottenham Hotspur team we reckon Ange Postecoglou will select to face Luton Town in the Premier League on Saturday
Tottenham Hotspur are back in Premier League action on Saturday afternoon as they take on Luton Town.
Spurs will look to put that poor defeat at Fulham out of their minds with the visit of the Hatters to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Ange Postecoglou has got all of his international players back now and many of them played little to no part in their country’s second games this fortnight which should hand him a fresher side to face Luton than expected.
Postecoglou will have to juggle his line-up somewhat though because Tottenham only have two days in between this Premier League match against Rob Edwards’ Luton and the derby at West Ham United on Tuesday evening. The Australian has Micky van de Ven back in training following his hamstring problem at Villa but will have to decide whether to bring him straight back or give Radu Dragusin another chance to start and get used to the Premier League before the Dutchman potentially returns in the away trip to Stratford in a couple of days’ time.
Richarlison trained well on Friday after some knee issues remained from his previous injury which meant he did not play a minute for Brazil during the international break. In contrast Son Heung-min played every minute for South Korea in their double header against Thailand although Postecoglou might be wary about resting his captain.
There was some concern over Destiny Udogie not being named in the squad for Italy’s second match after playing in the first, but Spurs quickly posted photos of the young Italian left-back on the pitches of Hotspur Way following his return and Postecoglou said there were no new injuries on Friday.
