The 2024 USA Boxing National Championships will begin Monday, December 16, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center in Richmond, Virginia, with over 900 boxers from nearly every state set to compete.
“USA Boxing is excited to bring the National Championships to the city of Richmond and the state of Virginia,” said Mike McAtee, USA Boxing Executive Director. “Not only will we be able to showcase our talented hopefuls for the LA 2028 Olympic Games, but we will also have several of our Paris 2024 Olympians on site to compete as well.”
The event marks the start of a new Olympic quad, giving American boxers a chance to impress as they aim for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. The competition will also determine USA Boxing’s junior, youth, and elite High Performance teams for 2025.
Action kicks off December 16 with two daily sessions at noon and 6 p.m. ET through December 19. Single sessions begin at noon ET on Dec. 20 and Dec. 21 for finals day.
Boxers will compete in bantam (10-11 years old), intermediate (12-13), junior (14-15), youth (16-17), and elite non-Olympic weight classes (18-39). Junior, youth, and elite fighters will contend for spots on USA Boxing’s 2025 High Performance teams.
