Tyrese has earned his first No. 1 on Billboard‘s Adult R&B Airplay Chart since 2015 with “Wildflower.”
Overall, “Wildflower” marks his fourth leader in the chart’s history. “How You Gonna Act Like That,” “Stay,” and “Shame” are the other songs by the R&B singer and actor to have led the chart.
“Wildflower,” a song from Tyrese’s album “Beautiful Pain,” released in August, tops the chart dated November 9.
The track is the most played song on U.S. monitored adult R&B radio stations in the tracking week ending on October 31, according to Luminate.
A 17 percent increase in plays during this period helped the song jump to the top from No. 2 in the previous week.
Elsewhere, “Wildflower” improved its position by two spots to No. 14 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and made its debut at No. 22 on the multimetric Hot R&B Songs chart.
