A sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson (aka Brian Warner) is set to go to trial on June 02nd, 2025. The case in question was originally filed against Manson back in 2021 by his ex-personal assistant Ashley Walters. In it, Walters alleged sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual battery, infliction of emotional distress and the violation of several Californian civil codes. She shared disturbing details of the alleged incidents in that initial filing.
The allegations date back to Walters‘ August 2010 to July of 2011 employment with Manson. In May of 2022, the case was dismissed due to exceeding the statute of limitations. However, that dismissal of that case was ultimately appealed in court last December. With the two parties unable to reach a resolution following attempts at a mediation around that time, that suit is now headed to a jury trial.
Rolling Stone got word from Walters‘ lawyer, James Vagnini, who told the publication:
“We are happy that the delays are behind us and that we will have an opportunity to depose Mr. Warner and present all the facts to a jury next year. We are confident they will acknowledge the harm done to Ms. Walters and deliver a resounding message to survivors of such terrible abuse.”
According to Rolling Stone, Manson has denied in court the allegations of assault, battery, harassment and discrimination made against him by Walters. While several of the sexual assault cases filed against Manson in recent years have been resolved through settlement or dismissal, he still has some some pressing legal matters to contend with.
He also faces further legal action over his 2019 concert spitting incident. The shock rock icon is currently set to mount his comeback to music this year, marking his first time on stage since over a dozen women came forward against him with disturbing allegations amid the pandemic.
