Peter Murphy of Bauhaus fame is back with more new music and another high profile guest. For his latest solo track, “The Artroom Wonder“, the goth rock/post-punk icon secured a cameo from Tool, etc. bassist Justin Chancellor.
This song will be included on Murphy‘s new solo album “Silver Shade“, which was produced by Youth of Killing Joke, who also took on much of the guitar and bass playing duties in the studio for that record. Speaking of this cut, Murphy offered:
“‘The Artroom Wonder‘ is an echo from my fourth year at senior school. Daniel Ash and I are listening to the mysterious sixth-year cool intelligentsia that have gathered in the artroom. We have dared to enter their conclave, and the music coming from it was intriguing. We discover that the song being played is ‘The Bewlay Brothers,’ highly intelligent, mystical and sensual, with the singer’s voice as seductive as anyone I’d ever heard.”
This song follows last month’s premiere of “Swoon“, which saw Murphy joined by Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame-inducted industrial metal icon Trent Reznor.
