Rumors are swirling that Tiger Woods’ former wife, Elin Nordegren, was taken by surprise upon hearing whispers of his supposed new romance with Vanessa Trump.
Woods and Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr., have allegedly been an item since Thanksgiving and were recently seen at the Genesis Invitational.
It’s rumored their relationship blossomed due to their proximity in the exclusive Palm Beach area of Florida. Just last month, the golf legend and Trump made headlines when they rocked up together at the PGA Tour’s Genesis Invitational in Torrey Pines, California. Moreover, Trump brought along her daughter Kai to a TGL round – the golf league co-created by Woods and Rory McIlroy – hosted at Palm Beach State College’s high-tech SoFi Center.
Despite a tumultuous history, Woods shares two kids – Sam and Charlie – with Nordegren, and while the duo remains on good terms after their 2004 to 2010 marriage, reports claim Nordegren was quite shocked by the news of her ex-husband’s relationship with Trump.
The Daily Mail cites a source who claims Nordegren found a humorous angle when Woods reportedly phoned to inform her about his new relationship. The source detailed, “Her response at first was like, ‘Seriously? A Trump? For real?’ She was more amused than anything. But she really quickly just accepted it.
“They’re not the type to give each other their blessing per se, but they keep each other in the loop with anyone who is going to spend any amount of time around the kids. Elin isn’t one to react to things emotionally. So she just processed the information and wished them well.”
In March 2018, Vanessa Trump initiated an uncontested divorce from Donald Trump Jr. in New York. Since parting ways, she hasn’t been linked to any high-profile figures, yet a romantic connection with Woods would position them as a formidable duo in the golfing world.

Earlier in April, Woods, who shares a rapport with former U.S. President Donald Trump, was gearing up for another return to golf in Florida when he experienced a “sharp pain” in his left heel, later identified as a torn Achilles. The 49-year-old golfer took to social media to confirm the setback, stating: “As I began to ramp up my own training and practice at home, I felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which was deemed to be ruptured.
“This morning, Dr. Charlton Stucken of Hospital for Special Surgery in West Palm Beach, Florida performed a minimally-invasive Achilles tendon repair for a ruptured tendon. ‘The surgery went smoothly, and we expect a full recovery,’ Dr. Stucken commented. I am back home now and plan to focus on my recovery and rehab, thank you for all the support.”
