The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s “Stay” has achieved another landmark, as the music video for the smash hit surpassed one billion YouTube views.
This accomplishment signifies the Australian artist’s debut into the Billion Views Club and marks the Canadian star’s twelfth entry as a lead, featured artist, or collaborator. In the video, released in July 2021, the pair are depicted as frozen in time while LAROI goes through a heartache.
On its debut, “Stay” held the top position for seven non-consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, dominating the Pop Airplay and Adult Pop Airplay charts as well. The diamond-certified hit garnered the accolades of Top Hot 100 Song and Top Collaboration at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards.

In the 2024 Prime Video documentary Kids Are Growing Up: A Story About A Kid Named LAROI, the pair discussed their journey as musical partners. “From the first time I met Justin, it was all about maintaining positivity. It was a no-judgment zone, and let’s just enjoy ourselves,” Laroi shared in the documentary, while Bieber recalled: “He played me the song ‘Stay,’ which was just him. He mentioned he might not include it in his album. I said, ‘If you’re not gonna use it, let me have it. I’ll take it; it’s an incredible track.’”
