The Admiral Theatre, in Omaha, was the first stop for Steel Panther’s On the Prowl tour. The tour started on April 18 and ends in San Antonio on May 18 with Stitched Up Heart as the opening act.
Stitched Up Heart started the evening, as they always do, with a high energy performance, fantastic music, amazing lighting, fog, incredible musicianship and powerful vocals. Alecia “MIXI” Demner is an amazing frontwoman. Her vocals are enchanting, melodic and the epidemy of modern metal. Mixi is who other performers strive to emulate. She is a true rock star. This is a tour to catch in 2024!
When Steel Panther took the stage, it was a party. They do justice to every 80s hairband. Michael Starr, Satchel, Spyder and Stix are 80s metal reincarnated. They have the look, the act and the talent. They are crude, funny and extremely entertaining. The audience participation is like no other, inviting women from the audience on stage to dance with the band, and the crowd ate it up.
Satchel’s blistering guitar solo is another highlight of the evening. The musicianship of Satchel, Stix and Spyder rivals the best of that era, and Micheal Starr’s vocals are on par with the 80s greats. This band is too much fun!
With leather, spandex and a lot of hair spray everyone in the audience relieved the rock concerts of the greatest decade, and it was a damn good time.
I highly recommend catching this tour, a great time is guaranteed!
