I had so much fun listening to “My Love For You”, a new single by Sound of Fractures. Jamie Reddington aka Sound of Fractures is known for bending dance music genres and delivering a sonic journey through UK garage, jungle and electronica, all sprinkled with some hip-hop influences. “My Love For You” is a prime example of this unique sound, as it blurs the lines between electronica and garage. Since UK garage is one of my soft spots when it comes to dance music, naturally this track grabbed my attention.
“My Love For You” overall is full of raw emotion and this seems to be a common thread for Sound of Fractures’ music. I am excited to see what else will be coming our way from the talented producer.
“My Love For You is for me really. I wanted to drop a song for fun, something that made me feel like I didn’t have to play by the rules. It’s beautifully messy and odd in a way that real life is. It embodies all the emotions that led me here, it’s a cathartic release, a love letter to the people that have shaped my life, it’s the song you sing in the mirror when no one can see you. It’s also the song that my kids like to go nuts and dance around the room too, and it’s my family I see and feel everytime I play it.”
