Disturbed‘s penchant for pyro at their live shows has known to be a bit excessive. Back in 2023, the flames featured onstage during tripped two separate venue’s sprinkler systems. While there’s no water damage to be reported from the multi-platinum nü-metal/hard rock band’s March 08th hometown show at the United Center in Chicago, IL, there does appear to have been some fire damage this time around.
The Chicago Tribune report that the fabric of six banners hanging from the rafters commemorating the Chicago Bulls‘ 90s championship runs all suffered significant damage during a recent concert, with sources telling the aforementioned publication the damage occurred during Disturbed‘s recent set. A statement issued by representatives for the United Center read:
“United Center is currently working with the Bulls to explore options to repair these banners. While the banners will not be in place for the remainder of this season, we do anticipate them being back in place next season.”
If past Disturbed shows are any indication, the damage likely took place during the band’s characteristically pyro-heavy performance of “Inside The Fire“, which closed out that concert.
