Downtown Artist & Label Services has declared a series of new partnerships, including one with Capital Cities (“Safe and Sound”), which has collaborated with the distributor to bolster the band’s catalog and upcoming projects, such as their A Hurricane of Frowns album set to release on Feb. 14. Additionally, Downtown has struck a deal with Sofi Tukker for the U.S. rights to the duo’s catalog while upstreaming Twenty One Pilots‘ self-titled debut album, first handed out via the Downtown-owned distributor CD Baby back in 2009.
Indian vocalist Sid Sriram has established a joint venture with Warner Music India, covering recorded music, management, live events, brand partnerships, and strategic initiatives that focus on non-film Indian-language music. Under this agreement, Sriram and Warner Music India aim to “discover and develop a fresh breed of global talent.” The inaugural release from this collaboration is Sriram’s “Sivanar,” which debuted on Thursday (April 3).

Indian sensation Guru Randhawa has also come onboard with Warner Music India, which will distribute his forthcoming album, Without Prejudice. The debut single, “Gallan Battan,” hit the airwaves on March 28. Randhawa’s agreement entails recorded music, live experiences, fan interaction, and beyond. This partnership is complemented by fresh management under Gurjot Singh, founder of BeingU Studios.
The Chicago pop-rock band The Walters (“I Love You So”) inked a licensing agreement with Amuse, which published the band’s debut album, Good Company, last month. Amuse is extending essential support, including DSP optimization, playlist placement, editorial networking, marketing assistance, creative design, and user-generated content monetization.
Indie singer-songwriter Alice Phoebe Lou has joined forces with Nettwerk, which is set to release her initial self-produced single, “You and I,” on Friday (April 11). Country ensemble LANCO has partnered with UTA for comprehensive representation. The band made its debut with the album, We’re Gonna Make It, in January, recently wrapped up their We’re Gonna Make It tour, and is set to perform at various fairs and festivals this summer. LANCO is under the management of Bryan Coleman and Eleanor Kohl at Union Entertainment Group/Red Light Management.
Country singer-songwriter Caroline Jones, part of the Zac Brown Band, has signed a recording agreement with Big Machine Label Group’s Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment. The label premiered her newest single, “No Tellin’,” on March 28.
Former member of We The Kingdom, Franni Cash is embarking on a solo journey and has established her new team, which includes a label agreement with Capitol Christian Music Group and a partnership with WME for booking representation. Uprising country singer-songwriter Tyler Nance has secured a management agreement with Redline Entertainment in Nashville. Nance’s career will be guided by the firm’s Larry Blackford and Wes Mayers. He launched his debut EP, Wasted Chances, last year.
Country-rock talent Preston Cooper, hailing from Ohio, has signed with The Neal Agency for booking representation. Cooper’s musical catalog includes tracks like “Numbers on a Mailbox” and “Weak,” and he is set to drop his debut album, Toledo Talkin’, on May 30.
