Shakira remains a force to be reckoned with! The iconic Colombian artist revealed on Monday (April 7) four new dates for her groundbreaking Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour in Mexico, further eclipsing her previous record with a total of 26 shows in the nation. The newly added locations are Tijuana, Hermosillo, Chihuahua, and Torreón, as reported by promoter OCESA.
“Given the overwhelming demand and Shakira’s cultural significance in Mexico, the artist has added four new dates to her return in August. This second segment of her tour will explore new areas, allowing her to connect with her devoted ‘pack’ and engage with fans in their locales,” the promoter stated in a press release.
Thus, Shakira is set to grace the northern region of the country, performing on August 11 at Estadio Caliente in Tijuana, Baja California; on August 14 at Estadio Héroes de Nacozari in Hermosillo, Sonora; on August 17 at Estadio UACH in Chihuahua; and on August 20 at Estadio Corona in Torreón, Coahuila.

After breaking records with seven back-to-back sold-out performances at Estadio GNP Seguros, the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour is set to return to Mexico City for another four shows at the stadium on August 26, 27, 29, and 30, totaling 11. This will make Shakira the first artist to achieve such a remarkable number of performances at this major venue (previously known as Foro Sol).
Shakira, who has been continually adding dates to her tour as tickets fly off the shelves, now shares the record of seven shows at Estadio GNP Seguros with Grupo Firme, who are scheduled to perform their eighth show there on June 28.
The triumph of her remarkable stadium tour has propelled the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer to the top of Billboard‘s Top Tours chart in February, when she launched the tour in Brazil, making her the first Latina solo artist to earn this distinction. Shakira’s tour has made a lasting impact throughout Latin America, drawing in over a million attendees, according to OCESA.
The artist from Barranquilla was also recognized by Billboard as the No. 1 star among the Best 50 Female Latin Pop Artists of All Time last month.
