Scottie Scheffler may be the world’s No.1 golfer but his place of residence suggests the 28-year-old has not let his wild success go to his head.
Scheffler will head into the Players Championship this weekend as one of the favorites off the back of a stunning 2024 when he clinched his second Masters title and Olympic Gold at the Paris Games. Yet while the two-time major winner could easily flaunt his extraordinary wealth, his personal life shows that Scheffler prefers a stripped down and modest lifestyle away from the course.
The Texas native is known to have an astonishing net worth of $110 million. Such is his success on the fairway, the PGA Star earned $19M in tournament prizes, including $3.6M at both The Masters and RBC Heritage in a 43-day period in 2024 alone.
A win in the FedEx Cup also saw Scheffler pick up another $25M, which pushed him into the PGA Tour’s all-time earnings list. Yet despite his ever expanding bank balance, Scheffler lives in a fairly modest-priced mansion in the Devonshire neighbourhood of Dallas, Texas
Bought for $2.1M in 2020, Scheffler’s luxury abode, while still on the upper end of the market, is perhaps not the showpiece home you would expect from someone who is worth over $100M. Scheffler shares the house with his high school sweetheart turned wife Meredith Scudder and their young son Bennett.

Spanning almost 5,000 square feet, the mansion boasts five bedrooms and six baths. It also features lavish attributes such as a spacious master bedroom complete with sitting area, and his-and-hers closets.
Outside there’s a sprawling half-acre lot with a huge backyard retreat featuring a covered patio, a fireplace and a swimming pool. Scheffler’s property is now estimated to be worth a cool $3.2M, according to Zillow.
Scheffler has held the title and rank of world’s No. 1 golfer for over 100 weeks. He heads into this weekend’s Players Championship having won the title in 2023 and 2024.
Yet it’s not just his approach to his home that separates him from some of the game’s big guns. Scheffler famously turned down an invite to play in the LIV Golf League, snubbing a huge amount of money to remain on the PGA Tour.

Explaining his decision to stick with the PGA, he said:” My dream was to play on the PGA Tour. My dream was never to maximize my financial benefits. I feel very blessed and fortunate to play golf and get paid for it, so for me, I’m not looking to go out and do anything else.”
The 2022 Masters Champion has also been best friends with his wife Meredith since high school, and she has revealed that it was his down-to-earth nature that attracted her to him.
“At the beginning of high school I always thought he had a super humble ambiance about him, that he was just a really down-to-earth guy that doesn’t take himself too seriously,” Meredith said. “Even when he had amazing accomplishments, that wasn’t the most important thing about him.”
