Rush co-founder, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Geddy Lee is set to release a new book, “72 Stories,” on May 13, 2025, via Harper Collins.
72 Stories, which is the follow-up to Lee’s memoir, “My Effin’ Life,” which was released last November by Harper Collins, will contain stories centered around his extensive baseball memorabilia collection.
“It’s a collection of stories from some of my favorite items in my collection. Maybe I’ll release it on opening day next year, I don’t know,” Lee said in an interview with the Illinois Entertainer.
“I’m going to include a copy of the book to the winning bidders of those particular items in my sale that are also featured in this book. I’ll give them a signed copy. [The book] came together in a relatively painless way. I wrote it with my co-writer, Daniel Richler. Richard Sibbald, who shot the Big Beautiful Book of Bass, took the photographs. They’re absolutely stunning.”
“He was bugging me forever to shoot some of the baseballs. So, there is a book, and I’m really pleased with it. I’m trying to get it printed now, in time for the auction. It’s called 72 Stories from the Collection of Geddy Lee,” he added.
According to Amazon, the 160-page book will be available in hardback and digitally on Kindle. “72 Stories” was previously a limited edition release gifted to select winning bidders in Lee’s 2023 memorabilia auction of items from his massive collection.
Lee, who has spent over four decades collecting autographs and historic milestone baseballs, auctioned some of his baseball collection with Christie’s last year.
