The cause of death of legendary American musician and film and television producer Quincy Jones has been revealed.
Jones, 91, died of pancreatic cancer, according to his death certificate.
Jones was laid to rest in a private funeral ceremony held earlier this week in Los Angeles, attended by his seven children, his brother, two sisters, and immediate family members. His family is reportedly planning to hold a larger memorial ceremony later.
Jones passed away peacefully on November 3 at his home in Bel Air, Los Angeles.
A songwriter, music producer, record label executive and civil rights advocate, Jones was one of the most influential jazz musicians of the 20th century.
Best known as the producer of Michael Jackson‘s blockbuster albums Thriller, Off the Wall, and Bad, Jones also worked with other great musicians such as Ray Charles and Frank Sinatra.
