Injuries have proved extremely problematic for Tottenham across the 2024/25 campaign. With nine games of the Premier League season remaining, Spurs sit 14th after losing 15 of their 29 games since August.
Knocked out of the FA Cup and Carabao Cup by Aston Villa and Liverpool respectively, Tottenham’s season very much hinges on how they fare in the Europa League. The north London club return to European action in April when they take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the quarter-finals of the competition.
As important as it is that Tottenham get back on track in the league and finish as high up the table as possible, Ange Postecoglou really needs to deliver Europa League success considering he is under a huge amount of pressure right now. What will hopefully help the Australian and his team over the coming weeks is that things are easing up on the injury front.
Having to do without first-choice centre-back duo Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven for so long, the duo are now back to fitness but they are not yet playing consistent 90-minute football week in, week out. The return of Kevin Danso, Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison could also prove key in the final couple of months as that will give Postecoglou plenty of options when it comes to his starting XI.
But what exactly is his strongest starting XI after the international break? football.london takes a look below.
