Playboi Carti’s ‘Music’ Earns Second Week Atop Billboard 200
Playboi Carti‘s MUSIC remains atop the Billboard 200 chart for a second straight week after having debuted at No. 1 a week earlier and earning the biggest week for a rap title.
MUSIC earned 131,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. (down 56%) in the week ended March 27 to top the chart dated April 5, according to Luminate. It opened with 298,000 first-week units.
Of the 131,000 equivalent album units earned by MUSIC in the week ending March 27, SEA units comprise 124,000 (down 56%) equaling 171.02 million on-demand official streams of the set’s songs.
The album has earned Carti his second No. 1 on the list and is the first to spend more than a week at the top. His previous No. 1 on the list was Whole Lotta Red, which hit the top spot in January 2021.
Selena Gomez and benny blanco‘s first collaborative album, I Said I Love You First debuted at No. 2 in the latest week, marking the seventh top 10 for Gomez and the first for blanco.
