Girls’ Night Celebration
Miami witnessed a glamorous week, as Becky G eagerly assembled her friends for a night out on the town. In an unexpected video featuring Bad Bunny’s “Nuevayol” track, the Mexican-American artist is depicted enjoying a yacht outing with 11 of her celebrity pals. Each stunning lady, including Jessica Alba, Gloria Estefan, Emily Estefan, Eva Longoria, and Becky, takes a turn to dazzle and display their best dance moves to the catchy dembow-salsa rhythm. The gathering was a celebration of Longoria’s 50th birthday, which also included Marc Anthony as a guest. “Feeling grateful for starting my birthday celebrations (it will last a whole month). I felt so cherished! […] Excited for this new decade,” the actress shared on her Instagram. Check out the fun video below.
The Gift of Friendship
In more birthday news, Nicky Jam marked his 44th birthday on March 17, and in tribute, his close friend J Balvin took fans on a nostalgic trip. In a video compilation, Balvin gathered memorable highlights from their friendship over the years: “mi real y yo” (my true companion and I), he subtitled the video. The footage showcases over a decade of camaraderie between the two reggaetón stars, including unforgettable pranks, viral highlights, and their mano a mano discussion during the 2017 Billboard Latin Music Week. “Happy birthday, Nicky Jam! Here’s to more moments like these,” Balvin wrote as a caption. The Colombian and Puerto Rican singers have collaborated on numerous hits including “X,” “Superhéroe,” “Travesuras (Remix),” and “Poblado (Remix),” to name a few.

The Next Wave in Music
This week, Rolling Stone unveiled its annual The Future 25 list, spotlighting two Latin artists: emerging Música Mexicana star Ivan Cornejo and Puerto Rican newcomer Chuwi. Chosen from a diverse range of genres and regions, these artists were highlighted by the RS team, “showcasing the next generation of musicians who are influencing the sounds of the future.” Cornejo—who graced the cover of Billboard’s Genre Now last January—featured on his own Future of Music cover and performed as the headliner at Rolling Stone’s Future of Music showcase during SXSW earlier this month. “I’m truly honored to represent música mexicana as the face of Rolling Stone,” he shared on social media.
