Morgan Wallen recently released a new song, “Love Somebody,” providing an early glimpse of his upcoming new album.
Wallen co-wrote the song with John Byron, Ashley Gorley, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Elof Loelv and Ryan Vojtesak. Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome produced the track.
The song is about someone looking for a lover who won’t leave a hole in the person’s heart. “And I’ll be lucky if I ever find a somethin’ more than just a crazy night,” Wallen sings.
“‘Love Somebody’ is a little bit of a new approach lyrically and sonically,” Wallen said in a statement. “I wanted to try something different, with what I wanted to talk about, how I wanted it to sound, and we were inspired by Latin-leaning influences. I’m really excited about this song and pumped that it is out.”
In May this year, Wallen previewed the track on his TikTok account. Later, he performed the song during the European leg of his One Night at a Time Tour, and then played it in September during the TJ Martell Foundation Gale event honoring Big Loud partner/CEO Seth England.
