Michael Strahan, the TV favorite, is feeling the pressure with his packed schedule. The 52-year-old juggles a daily hosting role on the early-morning show Good Morning America and also appears with NFL greats on FOX NFL Sunday.
The ex-New York Giants star, who won the Super Bowl, has recently become a grandfather after his daughter Tanita Strahan gave birth to Onyx. His other daughter, Isabella, has just overcome a battle with medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor.
After being diagnosed last autumn, the 20-year-old declared she was cancer-free in July. With the demands of his career and growing family responsibilities, speculation is rife about whether Strahan might step back from television.
However, speaking to Town and Country magazine, Strahan shared that he still relishes his work. “I’ve always had those thoughts [of retirement],” he confessed.

Terry Bradshaw left Jimmy Kimmel in awe as the FOX NFL Sunday icon reminisced about a run-in with Matthew McConaughey. As Jimmy Kimmel probed about Tom Brady’s FOX NFL Sunday deal, Terry Bradshaw revealed his genuine sentiment.
“It will happen at some point. It’s not happening anytime soon. The kids are still in school. I’m empty-nesting again. I have loved having the energy and noise and arguing around the house,” Strahan quipped. “I’m just so happy for Isabella to get back to college. I want her to have that sense of independence again because my kids can’t grow if they’re under my shade.”
Isabella was over the moon as she shared on her social media that she is cancer-free. “Everything was clear. Cancer-free and everything is great. I don’t have another doctor’s appointment until October,” she expressed.
“I miss my doctors already and everyone who’s helped me because they’re all so nice.”
The elder Strahan highlighted how much his family means to him: “At the end of the day the most important thing is your kids, your family, your mom, your father….just to hold them close to you, and your friends as well.”
He added, “Now I wake up every day and enjoy that day, more so than looking to next week, next month, or next year.”
The 52-year-old has had an impressive career in the media following his successful NFL stint. The former defensive end notched up 141.5 sacks in a 15-year career, placing him sixth in NFL history for most sacks.
In a memorable season back in 2001, the Pro Football Hall of Famer set a then-NFL record with 22.5 sacks, taking home the Defensive Player of the Year title. As a television personality, Strahan has secured two daytime Emmie awards thanks to his roles on ABC and FOX.
