Madlib has lost his Los Angeles home to the wildfires ravaging the county. News of the producer’s situation was shared on Monday, with a link to a Donorbox page explaining that he and his family need help rebuilding after “losing their home, decades of music, and equipment” to the fires.
The link, which has been shared by peers including Flying Lotus and DJ Premier, reads:
“We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support in helping legendary producer Madlib and his family rebuild after losing their home, decades of music, and equipment in the devastating LA fires. Your donation, no matter the amount, will provide essentials, temporary housing, and tools to help Madlib continue creating the music that has touched so many lives.”

Madlib is among a growing number of musicians who have lost their homes and belongings to the wildfires including DIIV’s Zachary Cole Smith, rapper Fat Tony, Empress of, and more. See The FADER’s updated list of affected musicians and how you can help.
Beyoncé is among those who have donated to the relief efforts, with her BeyGOOD foundation contributing $2.5 million over the weekend.
