Live Nation predicts a record 2025: ‘No pullback’ in demand
UPDATE: Live Nation reported $3.3 billion in overall revenue for Q1, an 11% drop from the record Q1 that the company had last year.
But President and CEO Michael Rapino pointed to other stats, saying that Live Nation predicts a record 2025 ahead.
Deferred revenue, or money that Live Nation has earned in ticket sales and sponsorships for future events, is up 24% over last year to $5.4 billion. There are 95 million tickets already sold for Live Nation concerts this year, up more that 10% over last year.
“2025 is shaping up to be a historic year for live music, with a strong start having us on track to deliver double-digit growth in operating income and AOI this year,” said Michael Rapino. “As more artists tour the world, fan demand is reaching new heights across ticket sales, show attendance, and on-site spending. Ticket sales are pacing well ahead of last year, with deferred revenue for both concerts and ticketing at record levels.”
