Following the announcement that Oasis would be taking the stage for the first time since 2009, speculation has been rampant about who will join Liam and Noel Gallagher for the performances.
At the time the band disbanded, the lineup included Gem Archer on guitar, while Andy Bell was responsible for bass, guitar, and keyboards. A series of drummers had taken the stage since the 2004 exit of Alan “Whitey” White, with Chris Sharrock performing for their final shows.
Only a week ago, Liam took to X to provide a playful confirmation regarding who would actually perform this summer. “Here we have it Peppa pig on drums Bert n Ernie on lead guitar n bass finger bobs on keyboard,” Gallagher tweeted, humorously including the cherished 1970s U.K. children’s program Fingerbobs. He added, “obv me n Rkid [his nickname for Noel] hope that clears everything up can’t wait to see you all who says RnR is dead.”

Nevertheless, a recent update from NME has introduced a more credible lineup for Oasis, with “sources close to the band and tour” supposedly confirming this information. This iteration of the band includes the Gallaghers along with Archer and Bell, plus Oasis co-founder Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, and Joey Waronker, who has previously collaborated with R.E.M., Beck, Roger Waters, and others.
“NME tell me who your source pots are that keep giving you info about OASIS and I’ll give you an exclusive interview about up n coming OASIS tour,” Gallagher tweeted, responding to the report. “You can have it all but how much do you want it.”
“It’s not the lineup reveal I’m concerned about I’ll let you know that shortly I’m more worried about the line where it states a source close to the band and tour that truly causes me great concern,” he added an hour later.
Gallagher soon sent another remark seemingly confirming who would be performing on stage, asserting the lineup would consist of “Tony Mc drums Alan white bass guitar Zak lead guitar Chris Sharrock keys.”
However, observant fans might note that founding drummer Tony McCarroll, his successor White, and touring members Zak Starkey and Sharrock are all former percussionists for the band. “That’s an AMAZING lineup,” Gallagher added.
He further lightened the mood by joking that Bonehead and founding drummer Paul “Guigsy” McGuigan would be acting as “pole dancers either side of stage their idea not mine bfore you all start on the faministik nonsense.” When questioned about the identity of the vocalist, Gallagher quickly responded by stating, “ME you lunatic.”
So far, Oasis has scheduled over 40 performances for their Live ’25 tour, which will traverse stadiums in the U.K., North America, Asia, Australia, and South America from July to November. To date, the only confirmed members are the Gallaghers — who haven’t shared the stage since August 2009.
