Lana Del Rey Releases New Single ‘Henry, Come On’
Lana Del Rey recently shared a new single, “Henry, Come On,” the first release from her upcoming album, via Interscope Records.
Del Rey and Luke Laird co-wrote “Henry, Come On” and co-produced the song with Drew Erickson.
“Henry, Come On,” a gentle ballad, runs over five minutes. The melody in the chorus is reminiscent of her Ultraviolence hit “Brooklyn Baby.”
“Yesterday, I heard God say, ‘It’s in your blood’/ And it struck me just like lightning/ I’ve been fightin’, I’ve been strivin’,” Del Rey sings in her high falsetto.
The song’s cover art features a portrait of the Grammy-nominated artist, glancing over her shoulder in a dreamy style reminiscent of the 1950s.
