Lady Gaga released “Disease (The Antidote Live),” a live version of her recent single, along with an accompanying video on Wednesday (November 13).
The visual, recorded at Woodshed Studios in Malibu finds Gaga rocking blue-tinged hair and bleached eyebrows as she plays a stripped-down version of the song on a black piano and acoustic guitar.
Gaga released the Halloween-appropriate music video for “Disease,” the first single from her upcoming seventh studio album, on October 29.
While releasing the song, Gaga wrote on Instagram that it was about facing her “inner demons,” especially, and “how I get seduced by chaos and turmoil.”
She wrote, “It’s about about facing that fear, facing myself and my inner darkness, and realizing that sometimes I can’t win or escape the parts of myself that scare me. That I can try and run from them but they are still part of me and I can run and run but eventually I’ll meet that part of myself again, even if only for a moment.”
Gaga and her fiancé Michael Polansky co-wrote “Disease.”
