Kendrick Lamar has surprise-dropped a new album, GNX, which hit streaming services without any warning on Friday, November 22, via pgLang and Interscope Records.
Kendrick teased GNX with a short video that hit the YouTube just before the album. The album has 12 tracks, and none of them were previously released.
GNX serves as Lamar’s official follow-up to Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers in 2022, which topped the Billboard 200 with 295,000 total units earned in the first week.
The album features uncredited guest vocals from SZA. Production was handled by Jack Antonoff and Sounwave, among others.
The album is also Lamar’s first project to not be released under his former labels, Top Dawg and Aftermath Entertainment.
