Jesy Nelson and Zion Foster have welcomed their little ones. The couple is now proud parents to healthy identical twin girls, who arrived prematurely at 31 weeks on Thursday (May 15).
The early arrival was due to complications Nelson experienced during her pregnancy, as she was carrying monochorionic/diamniotic twins—babies that share a placenta but are in separate amniotic sacs.
“Our lovely baby girls chose to make their entrance at 31 weeks plus 5 days,” Nelson shared in an Instagram post on Sunday (May 18). “Everything transpired so quickly, but we feel incredibly blessed that they are with us, healthy and strong! We’ve never felt such love before.”
“Everyone, meet Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster,” the artist said while introducing her new daughters. She posted adorable pictures of herself and her partner, Foster, tenderly holding their infants; the ecstatic dad shared Nelson’s post in an Instagram Story and remarked, “My princesses are finally here.”

The former member of Little Mix revealed her pregnancy in January through an Instagram post hinting at the couple’s expectation of twins. “She’s now eating for 3,” she teased back then.
In early March, she disclosed that they discovered Ocean and Story were monochorionic/diamniotic twins, which raised medical concerns.
“Typically, most twins have separate placentas, but when you have mono/di twins, it means they rely on one placenta, which can result in numerous complications,” Nelson elaborated in an emotional Instagram video from March. “One baby may take all the nutrients, while the other might not, which—though hard to say—could lead to both babies not surviving. Right now, I am at pre-stage TTTS, which is twin-to-twin transfusion. I’m being monitored closely and need to be scanned twice a week.” (Twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, or TTTS, is a rare condition in pregnancies involving identical twins or multiples when their shared blood vessel network in the placenta is unbalanced, according to John Hopkins Medicine. One twin might give away more blood than it receives, risking malnourishment and organ failure, while the other could receive too much blood, resulting in potential heart overwork or other cardiac issues.)
Shortly after, Nelson updated her followers that doctors decided a medical procedure was necessary to “provide our babies the best chance of survival.”
Before giving birth on May 15, her last Instagram video update was from the end of March, where she shared from the hospital that the surgery had been successful, and the TTTS had “resolved.” However, she mentioned that she would remain hospitalized because doctors informed her that her cervix was quite short and that her water could break at any moment — “and I’m still very, very early.”
She also posted images from a black-and-white maternity shoot in early May.
Nelson and Foster began their relationship in January 2022. In August 2024, they released a duet titled “Mine.”
