Jack Harlow’s 2020 hit “Whats Poppin” has achieved its first Diamond certification from the Recording Industry Association of America, as revealed by the RIAA on Thursday (March 13). The Diamond award also serendipitously coincided with Harlow’s 27th birthday.
A Diamond certification signifies that an artist’s track has sold 10 million copies. The RIAA states that one song unit is equivalent to a single digital sale or 150 on-demand audio and/or video streams.
“#WhatsPoppin? @jackharlow just received [diamond emoji] for his inaugural RIAA Diamond certification, along with 10 new Gold and Platinum awards to his name! @atlanticrecords,” the RIAA shared on its social platforms.
