LA-based Australian independent dance-pop artist Beks shares how she says she was scammed by a man who claimed to be a “seven-times Grammy Award-nominated producer and artist developer.”
Beks says she was sucked into a “Coachella scam” that ultimately cost her $4800.
The LA-based con artist allegedly claimed he would provide her an all-access pass to Coachella Weekend 1 plus accommodations at a location frequented by high-profile artists and producers.
Believing this could be the networking opportunity of a lifetime, Beks drained her bank account only to find out that the promised pass, accommodations, and introductions were all scams.
When she has reached out to at least get her money back, she says, “he’s giving me nothing but abuse,”
Beks identifies the alleged perpetrator and shares receipts on her Instagram to, she says, help others: “Shame on you for ripping off independent artists.”
