Honey Dijon has teamed up with Kevin Aviance to deliver a reimagined version of the iconic track ‘CUNTY’.
Set for release on November 15 housed on Defected Records’ Classic Music Company, it’s a cut bursting with electric, vibrant and boundless energy primed for the dancefloor as per its original NYC Ballroom staple predecessor.

“Kevin is a true icon of nightlife,” says Honey Dijon. “He follows in the footsteps of such legends as Sylvester, Grace Jones, Boy George and Pete Burns. I’m so happy he is getting his flowers as his artistry has had an indelible impact from the underground club scene to ballroom culture. It’s an honour to collaborate on this house music anthem that celebrates the vibrant frequency of the queer children of colour!”
“Over the years, ‘CUNTY’ has become a global anthem, crossing boundaries and generations,” adds Aviance. “This re-release is a chance to reintroduce it to the younger generation who may not have experienced its original impact. With Honey Dijon’s incredible mixes, I can’t wait to see how today’s audience embraces the track and makes it their own.
“Working with Honey on this re-release is a full-circle moment. We’ve known each other since the ’90s, when we were both coming up in the New York City scene, pushing boundaries and finding our voices. There’s always been a deep mutual respect and love between us—Honey is not only a friend but a true force in music and culture. To collaborate on this release together, after all these years, just feels right. It’s a win-win for both of us, blending our shared history with a sound that’s still ahead of its time.”
