Former Hole bandmates Courtney Love and Melissa Auf der Maur have reunited on hip-hop artist 070 Shake‘s new cover of Tim Buckley‘s “Song to the Siren.”
The cover features on 070 Shake’s new album, titled Petrichor.
Love and Auf der Maur last performed live together in 2018. While talk of a Hole reunion followed, Love declared in a 2021 interview that one would “absolutely not” happen.
Earlier this year, the former Hole members revealed they had been in the studio together for the first time in over two decades.
The cover of “Song to the Siren” marks the latest rendition of the iconic track. Previously, the likes of Robert Plant, Sinéad O’Connor, Wolf Alice, Bryan Ferry, Third Eye Blind and George Michael have released versions of the 1970 hit.
