Young Thug discussed his connection with Gunna during a recent interview with GQ.
The Atlanta hip-hop icon finally elaborates on topics ranging from his alleged fallout with Rich Homie Quan to his protracted and tumultuous RICO Trial that saw him incarcerated for more than two years in GQ’s video cover story released Friday (April 25). Young Thug also touched on his present relationship with Gunna, who faced backlash from fans for allegedly cooperating after he entered an Alford plea deal in 2022.
“Yeah, I know everyone’s curious about that,” Thug remarked regarding his association with Gunna around the 17-minute point. Upon being inquired about the nature of their relationship, Thug simply responded: “I don’t know.”

Following significant public criticism, Gunna issued a declaration asserting that he did not aid law enforcement. “While I have promised to always be honest, I want to make it absolutely clear that I have NOT provided any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or act as a witness for or against any party involved in the case and have no intention of participating in the trial process in any capacity,” he declared at that time.
