Felix Jaehn Enlists Whitney Houston On Their Version Of ‘It’s Not Right But It’s Okay’
German DJ and producer Felix Jaehn has enlisted legendary pop star Whitney Houston on their reimagined version of her mega-hit “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay” out now via Arista Records. The song comes along with the 25th Anniversary of the release of the original.
Jaehn adds their signature infectious touch alongside Houston’s powerhouse vocals recorded just for this version in hopes of shining an added light on the classic empowerment anthem.
On the creation of the song and getting to use the original vocals from Houston, Jaehn shares, “I’m deeply honored to have the chance to release my own version of ‘It’s Not Right But It’s Okay’ with Whitney Houston’s original vocals. This moment is truly special, and I’m grateful to bring her iconic voice back to life.”
“This song is a powerful anthem of resilience and empowerment,” Jaehn continued. “I hope no one has to go through the pain described in the lyrics, but if they do, I want this song to remind them that they have the strength to move on, just like the song’s message — sometimes it’s not right, but it’s okay to let go and take control of your own happiness.”
“It’s Not Right But It’s Okay” is the latest addition to Jaehn’s body of work that includes global No. 1 hits “Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better)” and their remix of OMI‘s “Cheerleader” along with “Call It Love” featuring Ray Dalton, which has been streamed over 400 million times.
Those are on top of remixes for global superstars like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Avicii, Sam Smith, Troye Sivan and many more solidifying their ten year reign as one of the world’s most successful DJs and producers.
