
JIN’s latest Echo EP secures the top spot in this week’s new music survey.
In a poll released on Friday (May 16), music enthusiasts cast their votes on Billboard, selecting the BTS member’s most recent solo project as their preferred new music offering of the week.
JIN’s seven-song compilation achieved overwhelming support, garnering an impressive 93% of the votes. Voters favored Echo above new releases from various artists, such as Morgan Wallen, Rihanna, Laufey, Avicii (a posthumous collection), Lola Young, Sebastián Yatra, and Rico Nasty.
Echo, which follows JIN’s inaugural solo EP, 2024’s Happy, debuted on Friday (May 16). The collection features tracks like “Don’t Say You Love Me,” “Nothing Without Your Love,” “Loser” featuring YENA, “Rope It,” “With the Clouds,” “Background,” and “To Me, Today.” The song “Don’t Say You Love Me” has also been accompanied by an official music video, directed by Yongseok Choi and filmed at various sites across Singapore.

Next week, he’ll be commemorating the release in New York City with a live performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon!, with the episode airing on Wednesday (May 21) on NBC.
Following its announcement, Echo has been characterized by JIN’s team as a “viewpoint on shared life experiences, expressing everyday emotions with warmth and authenticity. Grounded in vibrant band arrangements, the album highlights his adaptable vocals across an array of moods and styles. It reveals a deeper level of vocal sophistication and personal narrative that emphasizes Jin’s artistic growth.”
Trailing behind Echo in this week’s poll are Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem, Rihanna’s “Friend of Mine,” Laufey’s “Tough Luck,” and others, which received only a small share of the votes.
