Drake Claims Justin Bieber Hasn’t Replied to His Inquiry About a Possible Collaboration
Drake reached out to Justin Bieber but received no response. The 6 God claims that Biebs ignored his direct message about a possible collaboration via Instagram this past weekend.
On Sunday (April 6), Drizzy left a comment on Bieber’s Instagram post, where the “Baby” artist invited his fellow musicians to message him if they intended to collaborate. “Dm me if u wanna make music together,” the pop star had posted.
“I DM’d but no reply,” commented Drake.
Trending on Billboard
Billboard has reached out to Bieber’s representative for feedback.
Alongside Drake and many others, a multitude of artists inundated the comments on the “Sorry” singer’s post, including Big Sean, Kehlani, Bailey Zimmerman, and Jaden Smith.
The interaction quickly spread across social media, with fans eager for the Canadian icons to get in sync and collaborate again. “Oh we boutta get a summer hit,” one user wrote on X.
Another user commented: “Him and Drake on a song goes triple platinum btw.”
Some speculated that Drake’s tone was sarcastic after JB reportedly unfollowed him on Instagram earlier that week. As of now, Bieber does not follow Drake, while the OVO artist still follows JB and his wife, Hailey Bieber.
Drake and Bieber previously collaborated on “Right Here,” which appeared on Bieber’s third studio album, Believe, released in June 2012.
The 6 God is reportedly focused on his upcoming solo album following the release of $ome $exy $ongs 4 U with PartyNextDoor in February. Drake has returned to the top five, with his track “Nokia” achieving a new peak of No. 3 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100.
