Dark echo from the future
Official music video “Exoskeleto” performed by “Czarina“. In Czarina’s musical universe, where electronic sounds paint dark visions, “Exoskeleto” stands as a monumental work that not only touches the boundaries of dark pop and dream pop, but boldly crosses them. With roots in Spain, the song weaves a dystopian mood as deep and unfathomable as the night-time streets of a futuristic metropolis.
The intro, a masterful weave of electronic tones, could have been borrowed straight from a dystopian sci-fi film and immediately exposes the listener to a suspenseful atmosphere. The 140 BPM beat that follows tears along with an intensity that inevitably puts the song into “dance mode”, leaving an almost menacing sense of foreboding. This musical onslaught combines with the vocals and sound, reminiscent of the similarly dystopian tracks of “Black Nail Cabaret“, to create a powerful audio-visual experience.
Lyrically, dystopia pervades the entire work, with visual echoes of H.R. Giger‘s work creating an unmistakably bleak setting. Czarina succeeds in transporting the listener not only acoustically but also mentally into another world in which the boundaries between music and painting become blurred.
“Exoskeleto” is therefore a song that perfectly captures the dystopian longing and dark beauty of electronic music and the gothic scene. It is a harmonious and homogeneous contribution to a musical world that longs for depth and meaning – a true masterpiece for dark times.

Lyrics of “Czarina – Exoskeleto”
Some things are too hard to let go
Reminders of all the pain of my own growth
Bleeding from the knives they drove into my sides
Treading on the brink of my own death inside
Shedding all my skin to become alive
Unleash the creature for another fight
Biomechanical
On the prowl like an animal
Exoskeletal celestial
Anomaly from the skies
Some things are too hard to let go
Reminders of all the pain of my own growth
Gripping all the grudges driven to my sides
Burning from the fires scorching deep inside
Shedding all the pain to become alive
Unleash the creature for another fight
Biomechanical
On the prowl like an animal
Exoskeletal celestial
Anomaly from the skies
Biomechanical
On the prowl like an animal
Extraterrestrial phenomenon
Calamity from the skies
Exoskeleto
Biolumina
Anima machina
Biomechanical
On the prowl like an animal
Exoskeletal celestial
Anomaly from the skies
Biomechanical
On the prowl like an animal
Extraterrestrial phenomenon
Calamity from the skies
Calamity from the skies
Calamity from the skies
Some things are too hard to let go
Czarina about “Exoskeleto”
Galicia, Spain-based New Yorker and Progressive Darkwave and Dark Ethereal artist, CZARINA (styled as C Z A R I N A on all platforms) unveils high-octane Gothic Sci-Fi and Dark Pop track entitled Exoskeleto via German gothic label darkTunes Music Group. Exploring themes of pain, death, rebirth, retribution and generating a new kind of anomalous power and strength for another round in the battle arenas of life, the track first surges ominously with tense soundscapes that harken both ethereal and extraterrestrial lifeforms before dropping into massive beats, acid basses, giant waves of high-voltage metallic machinery and mystifying gothic choir chants.
CZARINA first laments at her trials before combusting into her signature powerful, tantric wails seething with emotion, while summoning a certain biomechanical and exoskeletal astral anomaly. The track maneuvers into an arpeggiated and orchestral section with a haunting full choir and crescendoes into one final blast before ending in a dramatic, somber resolve. Exoskeleto reveals CZARINA’s next stages in her own artistic evolution that combines all of her signature heavy-hitting yet ethereal elements with her passion in fusing synth, electronic and organic sounds, orchestral arrangements, dynamic compositions, formidable vocal prowess, and artful lyricism. Exoskeleto is the new single from CZARINA’s upcoming third record due Fall of 2024.
The track was written, produced, and recorded by the artist at her seaside home along Costa Da Morte in Galicia, Spain which she often refers to as her muse and inspiration for all her creative work since moving during the Covid-19 pandemic. She leans on Von Hertzog (VHxRR, Information Society) of The Social Club (Reading, PA) who served as co-producer, mixing and mastering engineer on the track, and who has been providing additional production input to harness and finesse the very vast dynamics and experimental nature of CZARINA’s sound since they started working together in her sophomore record, Arcana. Exoskeleto the music video was created by CZARINA and her husband and creative partner DeadlyKawaii, under their two-man production house called The Kitsunés. Exoskeleto will be available on Bandcamp and all digital and streaming platforms on March 29.
The single release for Exoskeleto also includes CZARINA’s cover of A Perfect Circle’s incendiary classic, The Outsider. The music video will be featured exclusively on darkTunes YouTube channel. CZARINA is Vero Faye Kitsuné, a Filipino-American synth and electronic rock musician, producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, filmmaker, visual artist, and an esteemed long-time creative director and fashion industry veteran originally from New York City.
