Las Vegas Raiders defensive superstar Maxx Crosby has joined Conor McGregor as a minority owner in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
Crosby, 27, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, has played seven seasons in the NFL after being selected by the Raiders 106th overall in the 2019 Draft. The NFL star joining BKFC’s investment team comes ahead of a $25 million event this year.
BKFC founder David Feldman announced in December that 64 fighters are expected to participate. The winner will receive a whopping $15m, while the remaining $10m will be split between the final eight. Bareknuckle fighting is raw, real, and incredibly engaging for fans,” Crosby said.
“I have always been passionate about combat sports, and I see BKFC as a platform that not only showcases the incredible skill, talent, and athleticism of these fighters but also brings a unique and authentic experience to combat sports enthusiasts.”
Crosby has now joined UFC legend McGregor on the BKFC project, and the former two-weight double champion is pleased to have the Raiders star onboard. “I am thrilled for Maxx to join me as an owner of BKFC. He is the epitome of hard work and perseverance that is the backbone of BKFC!” McGregor said.
Crosby has been a regular at UFC and boxing events, especially shows based out of Las Vegas. “I was young and watching Anderson Silva and Chuck Liddell and those guys – that’s what my dad showed me,” he said.
“So me and my brother would be like, literally in the living room, beating each other, trying to be UFC fighters. It started when I was really young, and I’ve been a UFC superfan my whole life. And then, ironically, we happened to move to Vegas after my rookie season, and I told my wife, I told everybody, ‘I’m going to as many fights as possible! I’m going to be in Vegas. I can’t wait!'”

Crosby has also opened the door to competing in the UFC. He has declared a “Never say never” attitude, despite enduring a physical career in the NFL.
“I went to a lot of fights, and then me and Dana bumped into each other a couple of times. Now, we’re great friends, and we’re just always chopping it up, back and forth. He wants me to be in the ring!” Crosby added.
“Hunter Campbell, he’s like, ‘I’m telling you. 2030, you’re going to be my heavyweight champ!’ I’m like, ‘Hey, we’ll see!’ But I already take a lot of damage to my body, so I don’t know if we’re going to be doing that. But we’ll see what happens.”
