Chelsea vs Legia Warsaw Conference League quarter-final clash simulated
After a 3-0 win in the first leg, Chelsea face Legia Warsaw in the Conference League quarter-finals second leg later tonight.
Chelsea enter the second leg of their Conference League quarter-final clash against Legia Warsaw with a healthy three-goal lead, and barring an incredible comeback from the Polish side, the Blues have all but confirmed their spot in the semi-finals of the competition. A 2-2 draw against Ipswich Town on the weekend saw Chelsea drop to 6th in the Premier League and out of the Champions League spots, so with Enzo Maresca’s side ahead in the Conference League tie on aggregate, Chelsea may be tempted to rotate and rest key players ahead of the Fulham clash on the weekend.
A win, draw, or defeat by two goals or less will confirm Chelsea’s spot in the Conference League semi-finals, where the Blues will face either Austrian side Rapid Vienna or Swedish side Djurgarden. Romeo Lavia has returned to training for the Blues, but the midfielder won’t be available tonight.
So, can Chelsea secure their spot in the Conference League semi-finals? Let’s take a look.
We simulated Chelsea vs Legia Warsaw to get a score prediction
To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 25 and updated the squads with the latest injuries, suspensions and transfers.
We predict that Chelsea could set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Jorgensen; Acheampong, Chalobah, Badiashile, Gusto; James, Dewsbury-Hall; Sancho, Nkunku, George; Mheuka.
We predict that the visitors could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Tobiasz; Wszolek, Kapuadi, Pankov, Vinagre; Elitim, Augustyniak, Oyedele; Chodyna,Morishita,Luquinhas.
25 minutes in, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was sent off for a dangerous challenge in midfield, with the red card giving the visitors a glimmer of hope as they started to create a few dangerous chances at Stamford Bridge. But, just before half-time, Christopher Nkunku won the Blues a penalty, and the Frenchman stepped up to score from the penalty spot to make it 1-0 on the night and knock Legia Warsaw’s confidence down a notch.
With the lead on the night and a dominant aggregate advantage, the Blues were in full control during the second half, with Maresca’s side dominating possession and almost treating it like a training game. The visitors started to make life uncomfortable for Chelsea with a high press in the closing stages, but with 11 minutes to go, the Blues grabbed a second on the night to confirm their victory.

Now on the right, Malu Gusto carried the ball forward from one box to the other before lifting a pass towards Noni Madueke at the far post. The winger’s first-time volley was blocked by the defender, but Nicolas Jackson was on hand to reach the rebound and fire into an empty net to make it 2-0 on the night and 5-0 on aggregate.
EA FC 25 predicted final score: Chelsea 2-0 Legia Warsaw (Chelsea win 5-0 on aggregate)
