Singer and actress Charli XCX and Swedish rapper Yung Lean are among the latest artists to join the cast of the upcoming Joan of Arc-inspired film, Sacrifice.
Their roles are not defined in the Romain Gavras-directed movie.
For Yung Lean, it marks his debut in a feature-film.
Sacrifice is the French filmmaker’s English-language debut.
The film’s screenplay was co-written by Gavras and Will Arbery.
The action adventure comedy film’s shooting has begun in Greece and Bulgaria.
Sacrifice tells the story of a radical group, led by Joan, abducting a film star attempting a comeback along with two others. Joan is a zealot who believes that by sacrificing three people, it would save humanity.
Vincent Cassel, who acts as Braken, the world’s richest man who is kidnapped by Joan; Ambika Mod, who acts as Katie, an unlucky woman kidnapped by Joan; John Malkovich; Jade Croot; Jeremy O. Harris and Miriam Silverman are among the other faces to appear in the film, Deadline reports.
Anya Taylor-Joy, who plays Joan; Chris Evans, who will play the role of Mike Tyler, a movie star kidnapped by Joan; Salma Hayek and Sam Richardson have already been included in the cast.
