Erin Andrews left her podcasting co-host, Charissa Thompson, taken aback during an episode of their ‘Calm Down’ podcast.
The pair, who recently left FOX Sports, first launched their podcast back in Feburary 2021, with the show having now reached 314 episodes, the latest of which featured Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs.
‘Calm Down’ predominately revolves around taking about life, gossip and sports, with Thompson and Andrews seasoned sports reporters thanks to their time covering the NFL. However, on their latest edition of the podcast, Thompson was left taken aback by a response Andrews gave.
A listener messaged the pair with a dilemma, with Thompson setting the scene. The broadcaster and reporter read out the message, stating: “I have a crush on the foreign exchange student in my class. Should I go for it?”
Thompson then added: “You know our answer,” clearly of the impression Andrews would follow suit. While Thompson replied: “Yes” to the listener question, Andrews, almost simultaneously shot back with: “As long as you’re not the teacher.”
That then left Thompson to immediately reconsider. She added: “Oh, good point.”
The pair are also currently now no longer employed by FOX Sports after their deals expired last month following the Super Bowl. However, despite her contract with FOX having expired, Thompson would still be open to returning to the network in the future.
Thompson previously said: “I really hope I’m still employed by FOX when FOX gets a Vegas Super Bowl.” However, she might be waiting some time before that happens, with FOX having just broadcast the Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

Next year’s Super Bowl will be broadcast by NBC and held in Santa Clara at Levi’s Stadium. The year after that, it will return to SoFi Stadium, the home of the Los Angeles Rams, with ESPN’s Joe Buck and Troy Aikman set to call the network’s first Super Bowl since 2006.
And then in 2028, Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will host the Super Bowl, with CBS set to broadcast the game. That means that 2029 is the first year FOX could broadcast a Super Bowl from Las Vegas.
That will be the next time FOX gets to call the game due to the cycle between the broadcasters. Additionally, Las Vegas previously hosted the Super Bowl back in 2023 when the Chiefs defeated the Eagles at Allegiant Stadium.
