Bristol-based party, label and radio show Pressure Dome has announced the release of three compilations to celebrate its fifth anniversary, with the first instalment – ‘PDCOMP005’ – landing on September 20.
The release is experimental yet club-focused, and features a host of label mainstays including Caldera (pictured), Talik and Human Resources.
Will Hofbauer, Meta, Berwick, Kincaid, How Du, Harry Rodger and Rose Again are each welcomed onto the V/A, too, for their label debuts — all artists who, Pressure Dome write, the crew have “felt a sonic connection to for a while and who have been supporting the label since day dot”.

The 10-tracker covers an array of sounds, too. There are more introspective expressions from Kinacid, Talik and Caldera, some more playful chug courtesy of Will Hofbauer and straight-up bass rom Berwick, Meta, Rose Again and Human Resources. And, for those who enjoy their job, How Du and Harry Rodger are on hand with some intriguing oddities.
“‘Mad to think it’s been five years already!” labelhead Yushh tells Mixmag. “It’s quite a big milestone for the label so to celebrate we’ve got a big party planned at our favourite Bristol spot, Strange Brew next month, plus we’ve been getting tracks together for three comps: the first being all UK artists, coming out on 20th September with the INTL (international artists) and a collab following up later in the year. Super excited to share all this new music from both label regulars and a host of new artists.
“Looking back, I’m so proud of not just the music, but the community we’ve built around the label over the years. Everyone has played their part and it’s amazing to see some of the artists who had their first releases on the label, getting the recognition they deserve on a wider scale. Special shouts to Jesse Webb who has steered the creative direction from day dot, Nick Harris who has been a sounding board throughout and of course, all the artists who’ve contributed to the sound of the label. I’m truly humbled by the love everyone has put into this project. Long may it continue.”
Pressure Dome has also announced its fifth birthday party, taking place in its Bristol home city, at venue Strange Brew. NVST, Bake and LWS are soundtracking the bash, with Yushh flying the PD flag on the night. You can grab tickets for the party on September 27 here.
