
While Korn have been compiling new material for their follow-up to “Requiem“, it doesn’t appear that we’ll be hearing it anytime soon. The pioneering nü-metal band’s guitarist Brian “Head Welch” recently discussed that in conversation with the Everblack Podcast.
Speaking of where they are at with the follow-up to that 2022 opus, Welch stated:
“…We got a lot of it [written]. We’re still working. Dude, it’s a trip 30 years later, man, to try to keep doing it. And we’re very happy with what we got, but it’s just gonna take a while. And I don’t know how long — maybe next summer, maybe next year, the next winter, I don’t know, but it’s not gonna be soon.”
Korn certainly have a few windows to chip away are the record further in the new year. Their current schedule for 2025 looks as follows:
