It’s been nearly a week since the hardcore scene faced the devastating loss of Meadows bassist, Brandon Dabbs. Since the news broke, the music community has flooded social media with anguish, love, and support for the Birmingham band and Brandon’s family.
The band paid tribute to him with the following statement:
“A friend truly sticks closer than a brother. There are no right words to summarize the brotherhood we’ve shared over the past 12 years. The shows we’ve played, the people we’ve shared community with, and the love you’ve shown to so many. The impact you’ve made will be eternal.”
In honor of their brother and bandmate, Meadows will be selling a special merch design for a limited time via KingdomCore, with all proceeds going to Brandon’s family.
“Beyond grateful for everyone, massive thanks to KingdomCore, Ritual Print Co, and Leon Humphrey with Theosis Design for perfectly encapsulating everything that Meadows is, in one design, and for doing this design pro-bono to serve the scene and Brandon’s family.” The band stated on their social media.
In light of such loss, HM mourns with and proudly supports the community that has come together to hold up our brothers in Meadows, along with Brandon’s family. We believe we will see him again, and until then, we will honor his life alongside those who love him.
