A couple is set to “elevate their relationship” following a delightful date in the “Making Love” sketch that aired on SNL Saturday night (April 5). Dressed in silk pajamas, the aspiring couple (Jack Black and Sarah Sherman) transform the evening into a musical extravaganza, with a bit of assistance from Bowen Yang and Brandi Carlile — all four of them soaring through the air.
Black, the host of the latest Saturday Night Live episode, and Sherman are elevated as they perform (making swimming gestures in the sky).
“First we do things to me for a while,” Black sings, “and then we do things to you for not that long.”

They attempt to infuse some suggestive dialogue while the champagne flows—right into Sherman’s eyes.
“That was so romantic,” Sherman exclaims, to which Black adds: “For me too.” They harmonize together: “Because we’re making love.“
“Then without uttering a word, we both sense it’s time to include a third,” they sing.
“Hello, I’m here to solve your issues,” Yang sings, appearing unexpectedly. “And this is sure to end well.”
Spoiler: Black becomes anxious, feels strange for inviting a coworker to join them, and concludes that the solution to make things “fine” is “to introduce a fourth … and the fourth is Brandi.”
Tune in to the “Making Love” sketch below to hear the always-cool Carlile share her wisdom while suspended in the air.
On another note during Saturday night’s episode, the singer-songwriter carried out her role as musical guest alongside Elton John, performing “Little Richard’s Bible” and “Who Believes in Angels?” from their newly released album. Carlile and John’s collaborative effort, Who Believes in Angels?, debuted on Friday (April 4).
