BLACKPINK superstar LISA recently dropped a collab “New Woman,” featuring Spanish singer Rosalia, under her own label LLoud Co. with RCA Records
LISA and Tove Lo co-wrote the Y2K-inspired song, which was produced by Max Martin and Ilya.
The track arrived along with a colorful music video, directed by Dave Meyers. In the visual, LISA makes a speedy start, delivering verses about walking through fire to rediscover she’s a “New Woman” with a “revved up aura.”
“Hit it when I serve/ B—-, you better swerve/ Revving up my, uh-uh-uh-uh-aura/ Focus on my mind/ Taking my time/ I’m a new woman,” she sings on the chorus.
“Nací pura, sí/ Ni una era será un flop en mi porvenir/ P—, soy la Rosalía, solo sé servir,” which translates to “I was born pure/ There won’t be a flop era in my future/ W—-, I’m Rosalía, I only know how to serve,” Rosalia sings.
A little over a month ago, LISA released “Rockstar,” which debuted at No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 4 on the Billboard Global 200, and also became her first-ever No. 1 hit on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S.
“Rockstar” and “New Woman” also mark LISA’s first releases since signing with RCA Records to support her solo endeavors.
